Product and Services

Many homeowners can help the environment and save significantly on energy bills by installing a Heat Pump. A Heat Pump replaces conventional air conditioning and can also supply heat in the winter. If you are interested in finding out more about Heat Pumps, you can read the information below and also contact us. RECO both installs and repairs Heat Pumps.
Will a Heat Pump save energy in my home, Heat Pumps offer the most significant energy savings where:Natural gas is not availible as a fuel,When outside tempertures are above 30 degrees,The home is well insulated,If natural gas is avaliable to you, we will probably recommend a Hybrid heating and cooling system. Typically, Hybrid systems combine a gas furnace with a heat pump in place of an air conditioner. A Heat Pump cools like an air conditioner, but also provides heat. If your home is served by fuel-oil or electricity, a Heat Pump may be a major energy-saver.
Will I need a conventional central heater if I install a Heat Pump? Yes, though your primary source of heat will be the Heat Pump. When tempertures dip below freezing, a conventional electric heater or gas furnace will be needed to supplement the Heat Pump. In summer, however, the Heat Pump will be able to supply all your cooling needs.
How does a Heat Pump work, Just like conventional air conditioning, in summer a Heat Pump draws heat from indoors and rejects it to the outdoors. In winter, the direction of the refrigerant gas flow in a Heat Pump can be reversed. In winter, the Heat Pump draws heat from the outdoors and brings it into your home.
It may not seem that in winter there's much outdoor heat to draw from. But at tempertures above 25 - 30 degree range , Heat Pumps are very efficient at squeezing heat from outdoor air. In this way, Heat Pumps both cools your home and heats it. And in many cases, they do so more efficiently than a conventional heating and air system. Please contact us today for more information.
When you install central heating and air, you take a big step towards making your family more comfortable. Room air conditioners and heaters often don't do the job you are looking for. With central heating and air, an air duct system evenly heats or cools your entire home.
RECO can help you select a system that is right for the humidity levels and tempurture swings of our seasons. We don't guess at the size system you need for your home. We take the time to perform a professional load calculation. We offer systems with the effectiveness and price that you are looking for.
We offer systems that are:Energy efficient,Quiet,Reliable, durable and guaranteed,Use environmentally-friendly refrigerant gases that do not deplete the ozone layer,Can I save on energy bills by replacing my older air conditioner and furnace? Yes! Newer air conditioners and furnaces, marked with the logo Energy Star are significantly more energy efficient than older models. For example, todays furnaces use an electronic ignition, replacing pilot lights that burn continuously whether needed or not. Energy Star air conditioners and furnaces save energy, reduce pollution and save you money.
Should I by the most powerful air conditioning system that I can afford,The effectivness of an air conditioning system during the most demanding weather conditions is measured by the Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER). It's not always to your advantage to select the biggest unit or the one with the higest SEER rating. When recommending a unit, we'll take into consideration the size of your home, your budget and our weather.
I already have central heating. Can I add central air conditioning, Central heating and air conditioning systems use the same air ducts and must work together compatibly. While it's desirable to install them at the same time, it's quite likey that you can add central air conditioning at a later time. We are experienced at this type of installation and will be happy to help you with it.Can I install central heating and air even after my home has been built, It will depend on the layout of your home but most often, yes! Please contact us for a Free Estimate and we will give you a definite answer.

Additional Information

RECO is able to offer a better approach to ensuring your family is taken care of when it comes to your home's heating and cooling needs. This can also improve the cost of heating and cooling your home and protect your investment on some of the most expensive equipment in your home. Planned Service Agreement (PSA) is what we call our maintenance program.
This may seem like an old idea, but for members of the Planned Service Agreement, it's a new way of saving all year long that not only makes a big difference but it also really makes a whole lot of sense. Long before your comfort home system breaks down, it silently and unavoidably loses effciency requiring more energy and more money to keep you comfortable. A recent university study indicates that an average of $32 a month goes right out the window of homes simply because the equipment isn't regulary maintained.
Equipment not regularly maintained is also moving closer each day to break-downs and unnecessary repairs. It's sad but true that a majority of service calls can be prevented through proper maintenance. Please contact us today to find out more about our Planned Service Agreement (PSA) maintenance program.
If your air conditioning or furnace is not working, it may be do to a faulty thermostat. If you suspect  your thermostat and want to check it, go to Tips for more information. We troubleshoot thermostats and repair or replace as needed. As a note, there are two main types of thermostats, low voltage and line voltage. It's important for safety to install the proper type for your furnace, as each type of thermostat is designed for different types of furnaces.
Progammable thermostats gives your thermostat a brain and helps you to save on energy bills. A programmable thermostat allows you to set the desired temperture for different times of the days of the week. With a programmable thermostat, you won't inadvertently leave the heat on too high or air conditioning too low at night or while the family is at school or work during the day. A programmable thermostat will even tell you when you need to change your furnace filter! Please contact us today about installing a programble thermostat so that you can start saving on energy bills!
