Air Conditioner: An air conditioner is responsible for cooling the air in your home. An A/C does this by chilling refrigerant, and pumping that chilled refrigerant inside to the indoor coil. The efficiency of an air conditioner is measured by a SEER rating, with higher being better. Top-of-the-line air conditioners hit up to 19-20+ SEER.

Air Handlers / Fan Coils: When using a traditional split system, an air conditioner sits outside and pumps cool refrigerant to the evaporator coil. The furnace fan motor pulls air from the home and forces it through the HVAC system. An air handler is basically a combination of the furnace fan motor and the coil in the evaporator coil. It is used with heat pump only or A/C only installations.

Indoor Air Quality: Modern buildings are built to be energy efficient, but this traps toxins, mold, viruses and other air borne toxins inside, cycling them into every part of your home. Indoor air quality products integrate into your HVAC system to purify, refresh and protect the air your family breathes.

Thermostat & Zoning: Thermostats now offer advanced features such as switching between heating sources depending on fuel cost, remote access, 7-day programming, and more. Zoning allows individual control over different areas of your home for increased comfort and energy savings.

Ductless Air Conditioning: If you have been heating and cooling a living space without ducting by using noisy window and/or floor units, we have some great news for you! With a ductless air conditioning and heating system, you can now have the same quiet, efficient comfort in a ductless environment that you can with a normal central air conditioning system.

Heat Pump: A heat pump is similar to an air conditioner. It can chill refrigerant in the same way to provide cooling. However, it can also heat your home. Heat pumps absorb heat energy from the outside air, and uses this to heat the same refrigerant it cools in the summer. The now heated refrigerant is then pumped inside to the indoor coil.

Gas Furnace: A gas furnace is the king of providing toasty warm air during a chilly Texas winter season! We offer gas furnaces with very high AFUE (efficiency) ratings to provide you with exceptional performance for less money. A modern gas furnace with a variable speed fan will operate quieter than you have ever thought possible.

Evaporator Coil: An evaporator coil is also called an indoor coil. It contains the copper or aluminum tubing that an air conditioner sends refrigerant to. Air is pulled from your home via the return air duct, and then forced through the evaporator coil to cool in the summer season. UV lamps keep an evaporator coil mold free.

Packaged HVAC System: When you don't have much extra space in your home, a packaged system can be the ticket. Packaged systems can include a furnace, air conditioner or heat pump all in one big, you guessed it, package. They are typically not as efficient (for residential) as a normal split system, but are ideal for space constrained environments.

Additional Information

Air conditioning and heating solutions have advanced to be quieter, more powerful and more efficient than ever before. Danco Comfort Services is a local Waco, TX Trane dealer providing cutting edge air conditioning solutions. Whatever size your home is, whenever you need cool, comfortable, cleaner air, as a leading Waco air conditioning contractor, we're dedicated to providing products to meet those needs.

A traditional home comfort system has two parts: an indoor unit, such as a furnace or air handler, and an outdoor unit. An air conditioner is the outdoor unit that compresses refrigerant which chills it. The air conditioner then pumps the chilled refrigerant inside to the indoor coil. The fan motor pulls warm air from the home, and forces the air through the chilled coil, thus cooling and dehumidifying the air.
