Kings’ Heating & Sheet Metal, Inc.’s company president Terry King has a simple answer when it comes to why his company is a success – family commitment. Completely owned and operated by the King family, Terry points to this commitment, coupled with hard work and dedication to customer service, as the cornerstone of the Falconer, N.Y. business founded in 1946. “Our mission is to provide comfort to everyone that we do business with,” Terry said, “which goes along with our slogan, ‘We aren’t comfortable until you are.’”

The King family works to keep their customers comfortable by designing, selling, installing and servicing heating and cooling systems, ventilation and exhaust systems, and heat recovery systems. They also provide custom sheet metal work, and provide their services to residential, commercial and industrial clients. For Terry, it’s always a company goal to go beyond the mechanics of the job to provide exemplary customer service. “We continually look to add value to our projects, and always strive to do the job right – the first time,” Terry said.

Currently, King’s Heating employs 20 people on average, and owns and operates a fleet of four service trucks and four installation trucks. They serve Chautauqua and Cattaraugus Counties in western New York, and Warren and McKean Counties in northwestern Pennsylvania. Because they serve such a large, diverse area, Terry cites that making a great first impression is important. Terry said that above all else,

“Because there are many options for customers in our market, we need to stand out in the crowd. This comes from making sure our finished products are packed with value and quality,” Terry said. “This is accomplished with well-trained technicians and installers, nice-appearing vehicles and uniforms, and care of our customers’ homes. Attention to details such as these promotes the most powerful marketing of all, which is word-of-mouth.”

Terry believes that another way his company stands out from the competition is by the skill his team possesses. He said that King’s Heating works to ensure that all employees receive optimal training so that they’re better equipped to meet the needs of their customers. “We have highly trained engineers, estimators, installers and service technicians. This allows us to do the job right the first time, and keep our customer satisfaction rate very high.”

Terry also said that part of his company’s success is due to trusting the Carrier brand to deliver optimal quality to his customers. “We’ve been a Carrier dealer for over 30 years. This consistency has allowed us to focus our training, parts and knowledge base on a single product line,” he said. “Our long-term customer reaps the benefits of not having to worry about their contractor leaving them without support for the brand they purchased.” Terry went on to say that the “Carrier brand associates very well with [their] brand, as both stand for a high quality, high satisfaction product.”
